What it is

Oga's is a dim, low-ceilinged bar packed with standing rail space and a few tables, presided over by a droid DJ salvaged from a previous job and a bartending team that stays in character. It is the loudest room in the park by design, and it is the only place at Walt Disney World where the drinks are built as set pieces rather than cocktails.

Reservations are required and open in advance through the app. The time limit is 45 minutes and it is enforced. Most parties are put at standing rail rather than seated, and the room holds far more people than is comfortable.

The drinks are genuinely inventive and genuinely expensive. Several arrive with dry ice, a foam, or a plastic figure of an alien in the glass. The non-alcoholic list is treated with the same care, which is unusual and worth knowing if you are not drinking.

Our verdict

Do it once for the room and the theater of it, then never again. The drinks are clever and overpriced, the noise is punishing, and BaseLine Tap House does the actual job of a bar far better.

What to order

The dishes this kitchen is actually known for. Menus change seasonally, so treat this as what to look for rather than a guaranteed list.

Tips for Oga's Cantina

  • Reservations open 60 days ahead and the good windows go within minutes, but cancellations release constantly. Refresh the app the day before and the morning of.
  • You will most likely stand. If a seat matters, ask for the bar rail at the far end, which is where parties get seated when tables free up.
  • The 45-minute limit starts when you are seated, not when you order. Decide what you want in the queue.
  • The non-alcoholic drinks are as well made as the cocktails and cost meaningfully less, which nobody expects from a theme park bar.
  • Repeat visitors: the droid DJ runs a long rotating set with different tracks by time of day, so an evening visit sounds different from a morning one.

Fuzzy Tauntaun

Oga's Cantina

$17.50

A peach and citrus vodka cocktail topped with a foam that produces a brief tingling, buzzing sensation on the lips as you drink it.

Our take: The novelty is real and lasts about four seconds. Worth ordering once because it is the only drink at Walt Disney World that does anything, but it is an expensive peach cocktail underneath.

Jedi Mind Trick

Oga's Cantina

A layered rum and blue curacao cocktail served over crushed ice, one of several cantina drinks built to photograph better than they taste.

Our take: Overrated. It looks superb and drinks like a strong, sweet, one-note tiki cocktail. Order the tingling one instead if you are only having one.

Drink Gluten-friendly

Batuu Bits

Oga's Cantina

A bowl of seasoned fried dough pieces served warm with a dipping sauce, the main solid food option at the cantina.

Our take: Overpriced fried dough that exists so you have something to put on the rail. Fine to share, not a reason to come, and not a substitute for a meal.

Oga's Cantina: common questions

Do you need a reservation for Oga's Cantina?

Yes, effectively. Reservations open about 60 days ahead in the Disney app and the popular windows disappear quickly. Cancellations release constantly, so check the day before and the morning of your visit.

Is there a time limit at Oga's Cantina?

Yes, 45 minutes, and it is enforced. The clock starts when you are placed at a table or rail, not when your drink arrives, so know what you want before you go in.

Do you get a seat at Oga's Cantina?

Usually not. Most parties are placed at standing rail. There are a small number of tables and they are assigned by the host, not requested, though you can ask and occasionally get lucky.

Is Oga's Cantina worth it?

Once, for the room and the droid DJ. The drinks are inventive but expensive, the noise level is genuinely hard work, and the time limit means you are moved along quickly. For an actual drink, BaseLine Tap House is better in every practical way.

Can children go into Oga's Cantina?

Yes. It is a bar but children are welcome, and the non-alcoholic menu is treated seriously. It is very loud and very crowded, which is the real consideration with small children rather than the alcohol.
