Mama Melrose's is dressed as a family-run Italian restaurant that a film crew took over: brick walls, string lights, checked cloths, film memorabilia on every surface. It is the least fashionable table service at this park and consequently the one with same-day availability when everything else is booked solid.
The kitchen does Italian-American food properly rather than ambitiously: flatbreads from a hearth oven, pasta, chicken parmesan, a good steak. Portions are large and the bread service is better than it needs to be. The gluten-free and vegan handling here is among the strongest at the park; ask and a chef will come out.
The room is genuinely quiet by Hollywood Studios standards, and it is a short walk from Galaxy's Edge, which makes it a sensible place to eat when you have spent the morning in Black Spire Outpost and want a sit-down meal without leaving that half of the park.
