What it is
Coral Reef is built into the side of the main tank at The Seas pavilion, which means one entire wall of the dining room is aquarium glass. The floor is stepped so every tier has a sightline, and the tank is stocked with reef fish, rays, sea turtles, and sharks that circulate continuously past the windows.
The room is dim, blue, cool, and quiet by EPCOT standards, and it is the most genuinely relaxing dining room in the park. Children sit still here in a way they do not sit still anywhere else, which for some families is worth the price on its own.
The menu is seafood-forward with a steak and a vegetarian option, and it has historically been the restaurant people complain about — the joke about eating fish in front of fish writes itself and the kitchen has been inconsistent over the years. It is better than its reputation now, but it is still the view you are buying.

You are buying the aquarium, not the cooking — but it is the calmest room in EPCOT and the only restaurant on property where a toddler will sit quietly for an hour.

Tips for Coral Reef Restaurant
- Request a table on the bottom tier at the glass. The upper tiers still see the tank but the front row is a different experience and the request is granted more often than people assume if you are flexible on time.
- Divers work in the tank on a schedule through the day. Ask your server when the next one is going in — kids will watch a diver for twenty minutes without touching their food, which is either a benefit or a problem.
- Lunch is cheaper than dinner for a nearly identical menu, and the tank looks the same at both.
- The Chocolate Wave dessert has been on the menu for many years and is the item regulars order. It is large enough to share across three people.
- If you cannot get a reservation, remember the tank itself is free to look at from SeaBase upstairs. You are paying for a chair, not for access.

Can you see the aquarium from every table at Coral Reef?
The floor is tiered so most tables have a sightline, but the bottom row at the glass is a substantially better experience. Ask at booking and again at check-in.
Is Coral Reef only seafood?
No. Seafood dominates the menu, but there is always a beef option and at least one vegetarian entree, and the kitchen handles allergy requests well.
Is Coral Reef good for kids?
Unusually good. The dark blue room and the moving fish hold small children's attention better than anywhere else in the park, and the children's menu is straightforward.
Do you need a reservation?
It is easier to walk up to than Space 220 or Le Cellier, but on a busy day you will be turned away. Book it if you know you want it, and check for same-day openings if you did not.
