What it is
Biergarten is staged as a village square under a night sky, with a stage at one end, timber buildings around the walls, and long communal tables on multiple tiers. A live band plays sets throughout the meal — accordion, brass, alphorn, cowbell — and by the end of a set there is usually a chicken dance happening.
The food is a buffet of German standards: rotisserie chicken, pork schnitzel, sausages, sauerbraten, spätzle, red cabbage, potato salad, and a dessert table with Black Forest cake and apple strudel. It is hearty, it is salty, and it is unlimited.
The communal seating is the thing people either love or refuse. You will be seated with strangers unless your party is large, at a table of eight or ten. In practice this is the friendliest room at EPCOT and the shared table is why.

Tips for Biergarten Restaurant
- Ask about the band schedule when you check in and time your seating to land on a set rather than between them. Sets run roughly every half hour and a meal without one is a much duller room.
- Sit on the lower tier near the stage if you want the show; take an upper tier if you have a child who needs to be able to get up and move.
- The buffet is genuinely all-you-care-to-eat and nobody is counting plates. For big eaters this is one of the better value table-service meals at EPCOT, which is not a sentence you get to write often.
- Beer is served in liter steins and is not included. A stein plus the buffet moves this into a serious per-person number, so decide before you order.
- You will be seated with other parties. If that is genuinely intolerable for your group, say so at booking — they can sometimes accommodate, but do not expect it on a busy night.
